SMPCPLC visited SSI Factory
On 6 May 2010, Mr. Jerawut Laowong, Mr. Niti Wangchirdchuwong, and Mr.Visoot Chatsukarn visited Sahaviriya Steel Industries Plc. (SSI) at Bangsaphan district, Prachuabkirikhan. to meet with experts in Metallurgical R&D team of SSI's and exchange information and knowledge in steel fabrication and manufacturing. The team received very warm welcome from Sahaviriya Steel Industries’ staffs, Mr. Thinnakorn Phadungwong, Prof. Dr. Takateru Umeda, Mr. Sorachai Pitukkoraras, Mr. Suchart Preeprem, Mr. Alongkorn Laojumpa.

Sahamitr Care Club for Kids – Children’s Day 2010
“Sahamitr Care Club for Kids”, led by Mrs. Ubol Ekahitanond, SMPC plc.’s Chairman, Mr. Thamik Ekahitanond, the club’s president, and the munificent employees of SMPC donated student scholarships, fund for new restroom facility, sporting gears, and education equipments to Baan Ong Sit Primary School, Srisawat district, Kanchanaburi on Children’s Day – Saturday, 9 January 2010. The club’s activities during the day at Baan Ong Sit School also included games with the children and football match between SMPC employees and Baan Ong Sit teachers and staffs and extended friends and families (the game result was a 1-1 draw).
The “Sahamitr Care Club for Kids” is established to promote activities to help social and education development of children in Thailand.

Company New Year Celebration Party
On Monday, 30th November 2009, Mrs. Ubol Ekahitanond, SMPC Plc.’s Chairman, gave an opening speech for “SMPC Celebration 2010” in commemoration of the company’s achievements in its first 30 years of business and New Year celebration.
The ceremony began in the morning with Buddhist monks’ prayer and alms bestowment, followed by lunch party and entertainment shows for all SMPC staffs and guests .

Commemoration of Annual "Unity Sports Day 2009"
Mrs. Ubol Ekahitanond, Chairman of the Board, honored the commemoration of the Annual Unity Sports Day for SMPC on 15th December 2009. It was the 3rd year that such event was held. The ultimate aim of this event is to promote unity amongst Staff within SMPC and also to encourage better health through exercising.

On of 27 July 2009, the Sahamitr Pressure Container PCL Representative, Mr. Jirasak Phromsaka Na Sakolnakorn, (Purchasing Manager) received "Drinkable Water Supply" Award from Mr. Taworn Sanniem, the Minister of Interior. It is a proud achievement of the company to guarantee the quality of drinking water standardized by World Health Organization (WHO)

Sahamitr Care Club for Kids 2009
SMPC Employee had established "Sahamitr Care Club for Kids" The purpose of the club is to encourage the development of school education. The club has arranged an activity at Baan Na Suan School, Srisawat district, Kanchanaburi Province on January 10th, 2009. The Chair person, Mr. Thamik Ekahitanond awarded scholarships and donated education equipments including sport tools for lovely children there.

Debt Restructuring Contract Signing Ceremony
Debt Restructuring Contract Signing Ceremony between SMPC, represented by Mrs. Ubol Ekahitanond- Chairman of the Board and Mrs. Supha Phromsaka na Sakolnakorn- Managing Director and Bangkok Bank PLc. on the 27 June 2008. The commencement of such a program proves advantageous for SMPC to be in a better position as debt is significantly reduced by THB 464.80 million.
